Weekly Freezer Cooking Menu

Chicken Gyros

Chicken Gyros

Nearly every meal I prepare consists of foods I have cooked or baked in bulk and frozen. I thaw items in a plastic shoe box to prevent condensation dripping onto my shelves (I’ve learned from experience). Then I shop my freezer from my freezer inventory,  to see what goodies I can thaw and serve to my family and others. I write these items down on a seven-day menu plan and post it on my refrigerator as a reminder to thaw my food 24 hours ahead of time. Typically right after the dishes are done, I check my menu plan and put new items into my thawing box and slash them off my freezer inventory.

We rotate the same breakfast items each week:

We rotate leftovers, sandwiches, salads and wraps for lunch.

It’s been a hard working whirlwind week. My mom and I decorated five rooms in three days. I’m so excited to have fresh paint after {gulp} 9 years. I know sad, but I’ve been busy having two babies and starting a blog and ministry {no excuses). The house came together beautifully with fresher, lighter walls which I was aiming for because we live in the woods and used dark colors prior. We also had ten 5-year-old kids to host on Sunday afternoon. I’m excited to share we made it through my son’s huge milestone. He is now 5!

We had a sweet pirate party, which I’ll save the details for a post later this week {Friday}. It was a lot of fun and we saved a ton of money having cute games and delicious food at home. And we made some fabulous memories.

I also reported my canon rebel camera as stolen and who knows what God will do. I’m confident he has a plan and I’ll wait patiently posting pictures that are not quite as clear and crisp as my usual ones, so please be patient until I find a replacement.

I hope your week was as productive and blessed as mine. I’m looking forward to a slower week with our monthly mission meal for forty and delivering a friend a meal who had an emergency appendectomy.

I have a post with Valentine treats/ideas scheduled for Tuesday {tomorrow}, so don’t forget to hop back over and visit. There’s some fabulous, frugal ways to share God’s love for others!

What did God do during your week? Are you planning any freezer cooking? {It’s how I stay afloat}
