We made a quick camping trip down the mountain to Saluda at Orchard Lake Campground. It’s one of our favorite spots because of the beautiful country scenery and fun for the kiddos. Freezer cooking allows me to savor the fun times and spend less time in the camper kitchen. Here’s just a few of the memories we made:
Zip line for kiddos and adults.
We brought our pumpkins along to carve.
Baby enjoying the crunchy leaves
The boys enjoying a little 9-hole golf
I did a little prior planning and brought along a few items from the freezer:
- Our usual freezer apple crisp kit for fire pit apple crisp with ice cream
- Hebrew National Hot dogs (gotta be a little healthy), tortilla chips, carrots
- Grilled Italian Chicken
- Homemade flatbread, Salad
- Freezer breakfast wraps
- Homemade trail mix
- Pumpkin cinnamon swirl bread
- Make ahead smore box
