This is a tip coming from an experienced home baker and momma of four children ages one to eleven. When you have the opportunity to bake, do it while your children are sleeping, busy or away and bake a lot. At least double or triple familiar recipes your family loves such as:
- muffins
- biscuits
- homemade yeast breads using easy 5-minute dough made in a plastic shoe box (seriously)
- whole wheat chocolate chip cookies
- granola bars
As busy moms, we know our time is limited, so why not use our time efficiently? Bake, cool, bag and freeze extra food for those busy or tiresome nights when your kiddos don’t get a nap and home baking is the last thing on your mind.
What items do you enjoy baking? Do you double and freeze them?
