Did you know every month we serve at least thirty to forty women and children at our local homeless shelter in Asheville, NC? Each month a menu is posted at our sister site, Cook and Play Ministries. We rally together on our facebook page and local word of mouth via MOPS and church to let people know what we’re cooking. This month our menu is our best kept secret recipe, Three Cheese Manicotti recipe, made without a bowl, spoon or boiling. See why it’s such a great secret?
Our Biltmore Baptist MOPS group is making and taking this meal home. While we’re making a meal for our family, why not make an extra meal for the shelter or someone else in need. That’s the smart way moms can multi-task.
We’d love for you to join in the fun and make this easy recipe with us. Five ingredients go straight into your freezer, thaw and cook without any effort on baking day. Let us know if you participate in this recipe and how you might bless another through a freezer meal.
Hebrews 10:24-25 says, “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
As social women, we can meet together and make freezer meals for our families and others. Spur one another toward love and good deeds as the Bible says. Encouraging each other to give more of ourselves and donate food and time to those in need.
Will you consider donating your time or a freezer meal to the needy this month? Contact email@example.com to volunteer in Asheville, NC on Thursday, October 13.
