My three-year-old had a speaking part in his very first preschool play. He shyly walked to the microphone and said, “For unto us a child is born, unto us Son is given.”
Each year we fret to purchase the perfect gift, fight the traffic, worry over the pretty packaging, frantically wrap the package and wait in anticipation to see whether our recipient will like it. You haven’t done this, right?
As I ponder of this Christmas season and remember what Christmas truly is, thanks to my son’s line, I’m grateful for the perfect gift every year, God’s Son. He is the reason we celebrate Christmas. Jesus is the true meaning of Christmas and why I love to hand deliver goodies to neighbors, freezer cook for the poor and share my bounty with the homeless. Jesus is love and I love to share it with others.
We are so blessed to have God’s Son as our Savior.
God bless you for taking time to follow this mom’s journey freezer cooking for her family and others. My family would like to wish you a very Christ-filled Christmas.
Caleb would like to say, “Mewy Chwismas.”
