Feta Basil Turkey Burgers {Freezer Style}

Are you stocking your freezer with burgers for grilling season? I’m always looking for creative ways to serve burgers to my family. This is a Greek twist on a burger which I’m envisioning on my homemade flat bread  {my shoe box recipe} with a spinach salad and homemade Greek dressing. Wow, this is making me hungry and ready to fire up the grill. I’ll post the finished product  soon. I’m sharing the uncooked photo since so many of you wanted to know how to create these burgers in about 5 minutes using a stand mixer. I’m a sucker for quick prep, too. Get your freezer bag ready and grab some lean turkey and let’s get to it!

Ingredients:

  • 2 lb lean ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese crumbles {or sub goat cheese}
  • 4 tbsp chopped fresh basil or 2 teaspoons dried
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Directions:

  1. Label freezer bags with directions: Thaw 24 hours. Grill or broil until done.
  2. Mix all the ingredients in a stand mixer and gently use stir mode until combine. You may have to use your hands to incorporate evenly.
  3. Form 8 patties or more if making slider patties.
