It’s easy to have an abundance of quick breads, like zucchini, pumpkin and banana when autumn rolls around. Just the smell of pumpkin and cinnamon makes me think of fall. I am freezer nut and I love to bake in multiples. I always double my quick bread recipe and often divide the one large loaf recipe into four mini-loaves. I have two awesome connected mini-loaf pans which yields eight loaves when I double a recipe.
Another baking idea I often use is the 5- minute Artisan dough mixed in a plastic shoe box. This easy no-kneading or punching down dough easily makes three to four loaves of fresh bread my toddler is holding above.
Any type of homemade bread is a terrific thank-you, just thinking of you, hostess, birthday, secret sister, friend, neighbor or colleague gift. You get the idea, it’s easy to think of someone to give a loaf of bread to.
Land O’Lakes has these very cute free fall printable labels to choose from. Just print them on white card stock or plain paper and glue them to the card stock. I like to showcase my homemade goodies in clear cellophane bags from Wal-Mart and tie a grosgrain ribbon for visual effect. It’s the perfect way to welcome fall and share a homemade goodie from your freezer.
