Break Away DVD Review and {Giveaway}

break awy

Anyone who bikes outdoors or spins indoors can appreciate this DVD. I could relate to Francois, the main character, as he forced himself to learn the ropes of outdoor cycling to earn an income for his family after losing his job. I guess it’s the spinning I do four times a week in the air-conditioned gym that caused me to wince as I watched him climb real hills on his road bike.

Francois made some life-changes in his career and faith, which is very similar to myself right now. I felt a common thread as I watched him train for a new humbling job of parcel delivery via road bike and take on new challenges.

My similarity involves a life change as well. My five-year-old is going to school in the fall and my daughter is attending preschool for three days. After applying for two full-time jobs in August and closed doors, I’m taking on a new challenge as a whole foods cooking coach. You can read more about my services here.

I understood and admired how Francois met his challenge head on and put his faith in God. God is such a mighty fortress and strong tower in my life, it’s hard not to smile and get super charged when you watch a movie like this one.

The movie was Biblically based which gave me a peace about the whole family viewing it. I also enjoyed the motivation it brought into my own changing life. I would recommend this movie to families going through changes, trials or simply wanting to trust God.

The trailer for this movie is found here. I am holding a giveaway to one random reader on Sunday, April 28. The giveaway will end at midnight and the winner will be announced Monday April 29, a.m.

Please answer the following question, along with your email, in your comment below to be entered in this random drawing. The winner is responsible for giving me his/her mailing address when the winner is announced.

Life changes are difficult, but no surprise to God. How will you trust God during your own life change? Or do you know of someone going through a life change and will you pray for him/her?
